Getting Comfortable With the Uncomfortable: A Channeled Message from Spirit

Good Morning, beautiful SOULS.

I sat down to pull some cards for the week, and the first card that came through was Butterfly Rebirth from the Spirit of the Animals Oracle. I then pulled a card from the Soul Coaching Oracle deck, and what came out? Another butterfly card—Transformation. I immediately felt that this was beautiful validation of the message Spirit was bringing forward.

From there, I was guided to pull a few more cards, and we ended up with even more butterflies, along with the owls. Seeing the butterflies and owls mirrored through both decks was pretty cool, but it also felt very intentional.

Can you see the theme here?

These beautiful winged wonders came forward with messages of transformation, rebirth, enthusiasm, wisdom and truth. Each card carried its own energy, but together they shared one clear message: we are moving through a powerful time of personal and professional transformation.

This week, and possibly throughout the rest of the year, we are being asked to release the outdated versions of ourselves. We are being encouraged to lovingly shed the fear, ego, doubt and attachment to the material world that may be keeping us disconnected from who we truly are and who we are becoming.

“Getting comfortable with the uncomfortable” was one of the biggest messages I received during my trance channeling. I understand that this topic may feel uncomfortable for some, so I want to be clear that the message did not come through with judgment or condemnation. It came through with love, compassion and a deep understanding of how difficult the human experience can sometimes be.

Many of us are being challenged right now in different areas of our lives. We may be experiencing changes within our relationships, careers, identities or the way we see ourselves and the world. Some may be feeling emotional, exhausted, anxious or uncertain about what comes next. These experiences can make us question ourselves, lose hope or feel as though we are being pulled away from our path.

Spirit is asking us to look deeper and to see beyond the illusions and distractions of the outside world. We are being encouraged to gently question what is being presented to us as truth, healing, happiness and self-respect. Sometimes the things we reach for may offer temporary comfort without touching the deeper part of us that is asking to be seen, heard and healed.

This does not make anyone weak, wrong or less spiritual. We are human, and sometimes we do what we need to do to make it through a difficult day, a painful experience or an overwhelming season of life. Spirit is simply reminding us that temporary relief and true healing are not always the same thing.

True healing may ask us to sit with feelings we would rather avoid, while true transformation may push and stretch us in ways we did not know were possible. It may bring old wounds, fears and patterns to the surface, not to punish us, but to give us the opportunity to finally meet those parts of ourselves with love, understanding and compassion.

The Butterfly Rebirth card reminds us that we can reinvent ourselves, open our hearts to the rewards of change and learn to love every part of our journey, including the parts that were painful. The Transformation card confirmed that this is a time of deep change. We are not only releasing who we once were; we are also making room for the person and SOUL we are becoming.

The Enthusiasm card brought a lighter energy into the reading. It reminded me that transformation is not only about what we are releasing. It is also about what is waiting to be discovered. There can still be joy, freedom, beauty and renewed excitement as we move through change. Even when the process feels heavy, we are not meant to lose our light.

The channeled message continued by reminding me that truth will feel loving, even when it is uncomfortable. The topic itself may be uncomfortable, and fear or anxiety can sometimes create anger, defensiveness and even cruelty. When people are afraid or hurting, they may react from those wounds. This does not excuse harmful behavior, but it can help us understand it without allowing it to harden our own hearts.

Truth that comes through Spirit is not here to shame or condemn us. It may challenge us and ask us to look at something differently, but it will also leave room for compassion, accountability, healing and choice. It will remind us of our humanity and of our connection to one another.

Wisdom owl oracle card

The collective is in a fog right now. We are surrounded by the distractions of the media, social media and social issues that can create fear and division between us. We are constantly being shown what makes us different, what we should fear and why we should choose one side over another.

The Wisdom card asks us to pause before reacting, to become still enough to listen to our inner knowing and to step away from the noise long enough to ask what feels true within our own hearts.

This is a time of great awakening, and people are being cracked open at their very core. This is not happening as a punishment. Our souls are asking us to heal, grow, elevate and learn how to love more deeply and unconditionally.

The people of Earth have many theories about what is happening, but many do not yet understand that the true path to healing and growth cannot be found through constantly avoiding, shunning, ghosting or running away from others—or from ourselves.

There are absolutely times when we need to walk away. If a situation is unsafe, abusive or harmful, choosing to leave is an act of self-love. Healthy boundaries are necessary, and protecting our peace and well-being is necessary. At the same time, not every uncomfortable feeling means that we are unsafe or on the wrong path.

Sometimes discomfort is showing us where something needs our loving attention. It may be revealing a wound, fear or pattern we are finally ready to understand. We have been taught in many ways to believe that discomfort is inherently bad and must always be avoided, yet some of our greatest growth can come with a little pain and discomfort.

Just as a butterfly must move through the darkness of the cocoon, we may also need to spend time within our own darkness before we are ready to emerge.

Owl Magic oracle card

The Owl Magic card asks us to open our inner vision, see through deception and release the past so we can create room for something better. The owl asks us to look beyond what is directly in front of us and notice what our deeper awareness is trying to reveal.

Spirit also showed me how easy it has become in the Earthly realm to reach for substances or other distractions when we do not want to feel what is happening within us. Again, this message was not given in judgment. Spirit understands that many people are simply trying to survive, find relief or quiet pain they may not yet know how to process.

This message is not telling anyone to stop taking medication that is necessary for their physical or mental health. Medication can be an important and loving part of someone’s care, and those decisions should always be made with qualified healthcare professionals. The message was specifically about recreational use when it becomes a way to delay, deny, numb or distract ourselves while we call it healing, relaxation or spiritual growth.

The words I received were clear: we cannot smoke our way to higher enlightenment, drink ourselves into true relaxation or continually numb ourselves and call it healing.

I do not share those words to shame anyone. I share them because I believe many of us, at different times in our lives, have reached for something outside of ourselves to help us cope with what felt too painful or overwhelming to hold alone. There is no shame in admitting that, no shame in needing support and no shame in realizing that a coping mechanism that once helped us survive may no longer be helping us heal.

Spirit is gently asking us to cleanse our minds, bodies and souls so we can reconnect with ourselves, with Source, with our guides, with our souls and with our purpose. This cleansing will look different for each person. It may mean taking a break from social media, changing a habit, resting, praying, journaling, spending time in nature, seeking counseling or simply becoming more honest with ourselves about what we are feeling.

There are many Earthly sources of support available to help us through the challenges we may be facing. We do not have to navigate discomfort alone. Support may come from trusted loved ones, spiritual mentors, counselors, therapists, support groups, medical professionals or other qualified sources of care.

The spiritual path is not about becoming perfect. It is about becoming more present, aware and honest with ourselves. It is about caring for the mind, body and soul so that we can reconnect with ourselves and hear Spirit more clearly.

There are also spiritual practices involving sacred plant medicines and other modalities. Those practices should always be approached safely, intentionally and with respect. Discernment is necessary because not everything called spiritual will be healing or appropriate for every person.

We can gently ask ourselves whether something is helping us face what needs to be healed or helping us avoid it. We can ask whether it is bringing us closer to ourselves and Source or creating more disconnection. We can consider whether it is expanding our awareness or simply keeping us numb. We can ask these questions without criticizing or condemning ourselves.

Healing is not punishment, and transformation is not shame. Spirit is not asking us to hate the versions of ourselves that relied on unhealthy ways to cope. Those versions of us were doing the best they could with the tools and awareness they had at the time. We can love those versions of ourselves, thank them for helping us survive and, when we are ready, lovingly choose something different.

The collective is moving through a powerful awakening. Old beliefs are breaking down, hidden wounds are rising to the surface, relationships are changing, careers are shifting and identities that once felt safe may no longer fit. Being cracked open can feel frightening, but it is not always a punishment. Sometimes it is how the light finally gets in.

The butterflies remind us that transformation and rebirth are possible. Enthusiasm reminds us that joy and beauty still exist during change. Wisdom asks us to slow down and listen within, while Owl Magic reminds us to see beyond illusion, release the past and trust our inner vision.

All of these cards came together for a reason.

If you have been feeling uncomfortable, unsettled, emotional or unsure of who you are becoming, please know that you are not alone. Be gentle with yourself, give yourself grace and reach for support when you need it. Do not immediately assume that discomfort means you are on the wrong path, because sometimes discomfort is the doorway to the next version of you.

This is a time of remembering, releasing, healing and returning to love. You are not being destroyed, beautiful SOUL. You are being transformed.

With Love and Light. 🤍
